I don't know how you can just pick one, but I've got to go with Marco.

I don't know how you can just pick one, but I've got to go with Marco. I'm afraid I'll have to agree with you hands down on that one! We've had some amazing ones come through over the years and I remember watching some of them as a very young girl but I remember them none the less. Marco had incredible skill, and I think after him I would have to pick Zakee Wadood, he was incredible as well!

bevtrain i like your choices here i dont know how old you are but i wouldnt think you know about james pitts he was flat out a baller.
Although I have to go with Zakee. Besides the fact that he is my good friend the evedience leans his way. Back to Back state championships. 2 time Southern Conference player of the year led his team to the NCAA tournament in back to back seasons. Led the NCAA in steals his Junior year. And still playing profesionally in spain.
No other Rabbitt can post stats even half as impressive as these.
i think the all time jackrabbit basketball team would look something like this
1-Dewayne hart 2-Chad Wise 3-Marco Cole 4-Derek Pearson 5-Zakee wodood
and coming off the bench James Pitts Lester jackson Jeremy mclaine EJ Jones

I think I am more impressed that you remember Jeremy McClain since he wound up leaving Lonoke! He was in my grade and was a good buddy and I missed him like heck when he left. And he was hands down incredible on the court! Jeremy was one of the best that ever came through Lonoke at a very young age and I would have loved to see what he could have done for us if he would have stayed til he graduated.

You've probably never heard of Wayne McKinney. He was a stud on the 1983 AAA (which would be 5A now) State Championship team. He was the state player of the year. Played at Lamar. They probably had others on their team that should be on the list, too. Cassius Kellybrew and others. There's been some studs play at LHS. Shawn Burnett was scoring 25 per game in 1988, but the team wasn't as good as some of the others. I saw Pitts dunk in an 8th grade game one time!!!! Man, it is just too hard to come up with one team.

Next time you go to the gym read about Jimmy Lee Howell, he was so good a basketball player he became the long time coach of the New York Giants football team. When he went to U of Ark as a basketball player they put him on the football team.

I PLAYED WITH JEREMY McCLAIN, HE WAS AS GOOD AS ALL THE REST OF THOSE PLAYERS, BUT WE ALSO HAD JEREMY BROWN AND FLOYD McBRIDE ON THAT TEAM TOO. IT WAS NOT A ONE MAN ROSTER!!
