What the keck happened to the bunnies? I bet they wish they hadn't "fired" MV. Not sure who gives you your info but Coach Vincent was never fired, he stepped down from coaching all together, and he is still at Lonoke teaching. And I believe Coach Jones had done a half decent job seeing as he had a program completely on the rebuild!

I know he is still there. But there is no way in the world he wanted to "quit." Yeah, kinda like Jack Crowe quit arkansas in 1992 but we all know that he was fired.
The Lonoke district is too chicken to fire anybody but I'm sure there was some pressure put on MV to quit. Check your facts.

The Lonoke district is too chicken to fire anybody but I'm sure there was some pressure put on MV to quit. Check your facts. My facts are straight and you have no proof in the slightest that he was pressured into stepping down. Why would someone who was threatened or pressured into stepping down choose to stay at that school and continue teaching? Why would he step down from coaching all together for that matter rather than coaching at another school? Are you saying no coach can quit coaching and remain in administration with out being pressured to do so? Coaches aren't coaches forever. At some point in time they move on, there are tons of examples all over Lonoke school district. What about Mr.Wilson, formerly Coach Wilson who is still called that by many? He is now the principle at the high school and has been in administration and out of coaching for a long time now, was he pressured into stepping down? What about the Hobsons? Coach Hobson who quit coaching many years ago but still taught athletics at Lonoke although he was no longer coaching, and he is now the athletic director at Lonoke. Was he pressured? What about his father also, the older Coach Hobson who is now retired but before he retired quit coaching looong before he quit working in the schools as he was I disagreeistant principle when I was in primary school almost 16 years ago and for many years beyond that. Coach Acree stepped down from coaching this past year for family reasons and while he may return to coaching or may not he is still in administration at Lonoke and will continue to be for some time I imagine. There have been plenty of other examples as well. So you cannot using any common sense say that there is no way Coach Vincent would have stepped down from coaching altogether on his own decision and that he had to have been pressured/threatened into resigning. I am not in any way saying that kind of things does not happen in schools but you shouldn't make accuisations about things you have no proof of. And hearsay is not a form of proof. How is that for facts?

Say what you want, I believe MV was fired but with all that said, I hope the Rabbits have a good offseason and move forward. This is a proud program with lots of tradition. Good luck to all.

stance, because lakers is pretty accurate on what happened. There was a LOT of pressure with this whole situation last year. It was an awful year for everyone especially Marcel. Marcel is a great guy and he and Coach Hobson have been best friends since they were kids. I don' think he would've made Hobson fire him. And that's probably what was going to happen (not Hobson's decision, but his boss's). It would've killed Hobson to have to do that. They are all great guys, I hate that any of them had to go through all that.
